A customer claims her finger had to be amputated after sustaining a cut at a Granite City nail salon.
Jessica Stanton filed a complaint in Madison County Circuit Court against My Nail, alleging negligence.
According to her complaint, Stanton received services at My Nail salon in Granite City on March 19, 2022. She claims she sustained a cut on her finger while at the salon, which later had to be amputated.
Stanton alleges My Nail was negligent for creating a dangerous and hazardous condition and failing to warn of the hazard. She also alleges the defendant failed to keep the area in a reasonably safe condition and failed to remove the hazard or barricade the area.
Stanton claims the defendant had sufficient time to have known of the existence of the hazard and remedy the dangerous condition. She further claims she has suffered pain, trauma and incurred medical expenses as a result of the salon’s negligence.
Stanton seeks monetary relief of more than $50,000, plus interest, trial by jury and all other just relief.
