A dental patient claims he suffered injuries while getting dentures.
Thomas Reagan filed a complaint on Nov. 16 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Charles Davis, DMD and Aspen Dental Management Inc., alleging negligence and other claims.
According to his complaint, Reagan sought dental and denture treatment from Davis at Aspen Dental in Glen Carbon in December 2021. He claims the defendants failed to diagnose, treat and extract his teeth to prepare for dentures and did not properly place implants or studs for his dentures. Reagan specifically claims that Davis surgically placed the implants or studs too close together and that the “mal-positioned” and incorrect number of implants did not support his dentures.
Reagan also claims the defendants failed to document or retain his medical records. Reagan alleges he has had to pay large sums of money for additional medical care and treatment as well as suffering lost wages.
Reagan seeks monetary relief of more than $50,000, interest and all other just relief.
